Company Description
The first plasterboard was produced in Norway in 1965. By Norgips plant Torkop k / Drammen belonging to Walter Nilsen. Since then, the company Norgips systematically perfected the technology of production of plasterboard systems and their installation, which allowed it to introduce their products to the markets of other Nordic countries, the Netherlands and Germany.
Since 1992. Norgips company started introducing its products on the Polish market. The systematic and consistent promotion of plasterboard, led by the distributor company Norgips Poland Ltd, has allowed the gradual spread of modern, light and healthy building design buildings with plasterboard Norgips.
Norgips AS belongs to Wani Industrier AS, a Norwegian company with a capital of a family, whose founder and owner is Walter Nilsen. In 1996. It started construction of a factory of plasterboard in Brzezie near Opole. Within a year and a half for the amount of $ 60 million was made the second largest
production plant of its type in Europe and the largest in Poland. This investment covered production hall and warehouses with a total area of 25 000 m2 and capacity of 170 000 m3 and accompanying infrastructure such as roads, parking lots, etc. Locating the plant next to the Opole power plant can produce plasterboard gypsum-based industry, which is obtained in the power plant in process flue gas desulfurization from the burning of coal. Thanks to the most modern production technologies and the longest line technology in Poland, having less than 500 m in length, the factory is able to produce from 80-120 m of plasterboard in one minute. This capacity allows consumers eventually produce 50 million m2
slabs per year with a workforce of 150 employees. Currently the factory produces four types of plasterboard (ordinary - GKB, waterproof - GKBI fire retardant - GKF, water-flame-retardant - GKFI) but as a systematic increase production capacity at the same time extended will be an assortment of plasterboard, half of which will be exported to German,
Russia, Austria, Slovakia, Belarus and Ukraine.
